We at Dow Hydraulics are firm believers in lean manufacturing. As a result, we have implemented the cell concept within our machining department therefore maximizing our throughput and creating a much more effective production area. Listed below is some of the equipment used to make this possible with their capabilities:
- L32 (MARUBENI) CITIZEN CINCOM - The L32 utilizes a "Full servo system" meaning even the workpiece clamping movements are executed by servo motors that are constantly working. The 9 axis simultaneous Cincom System M6D Control and six cutting axes makes easy work out of even the toughest of applications. Front ID tools and back spindle are separated to allow simultaneous machining on front and back of parts. Running eighteen hours of the day the 8,000 rpm main spindle and 7,000 rpm back (sub) spindle move through even the most complex of jobs.
- L20 (MARUBENI) CITIZEN CINCOM - The L20 is the fastest, most efficient 7-Axis lathe ever developed by Citizen. With the six live tool holder option the L20 totals 21 tools: five turning, ten rotary, and six drilling tools. The more operations we are able to do the less parts cost our customers and quicker turnaround times. Long lengths to diameter turnings are typically complete off the machine. The pickup spindle has acquired the part so that it can be used as a secondary chucking spindle for back drilling, taping and milling operations.
- 2-FEMCO (HL-25 DURGA) The HL-25 is designed for high speed precision turning. The patented 23 station twin disk turret provides quick set up times and fast chip to chip tool change. The rigid construction combined with precision components assures consistent high accuracies and excellent finishes with its powerful 4,800 RPM spindle drive.
- 1-HAAS (SL-30 & SL-20) The SL-30, with a max turning capacity of 17" x 34" and a 10" chuck, has a bar capacity of up to 3.0". The SL-20, with a max turning capacity of 10.3" x 20" and an 8.3" chuck, has a bar capacity of up to 2.0". Haas high-performance turning centers also feature massive headstock castings with symmetric ribs for rigidity and thermal stability; on-the-fly wye-delta switching for peak performance throughout the rpm range; and embedded chip trays and high-volume coolant systems for efficient chip removal
